I usually just cycle through the colors until I get impatient with myself and just pick one at random. ^_^;;

Maybe the lack of good exteriors in the game is making you unhappy and you just need to download some cc exterior walls?

I’m partial to houses that are blue, and I also like white ones, so usually they’ll be one of those colors. It also sometimes depends on the personality and style of the sim I’m building it for if I have someone specific in mind.

I choose depending on what kind of house I'm making. Something I do sometimes depending on the shape is colour the house white, then colour the outside of one room a different colour (usually black or red)

Pinterest is a great source of house inspiration!

Hi sometimes I decide the outside colour by the colour palette I will be using on the inside :)

As @AbraKadabra typed. Also the family's budget figures in if I've already gone one lined up.
Sometimes if it's an exterior type I've already used before, I'll try to pick a color I haven't, as long a sit looks good and like the color it's supposed to be.

I usually go with darker colours, because in a real-life situation, it wouldn't get as dirty and I prefer darker colours. It depends on the family that's going to live there, though. A neat, perfectionistic, snobby family would likely prefer a pristine, flawlessly white house, lol!

I go by what the decor is on the inside. And usually no crazy colors unless Im making a wild club or bar. My houses are more subdued.
