I'm planning on actually doing just that (more or less) this time around.
I'm usually not a family player, so...

I planned to have a nice normal first generation. The mom- Parker- was a scientist, and the dad- Hayden- was a doctor. They got married, had two sons (Rez and Nathan, both singles), and then the satellite came home. I decided it would be cool to try for an abduction baby because I don't think I've had one, and instead a bunch of aliens came visiting. This all would have been fine if Hayden hadn't flirted with three aliens and Parker with one.

I decided since the two were so keen to cheat; I would enable them. Hayden had twin girls (Nikki and Gracelyn) and two single birth boys (Soren and Jeffery) with his alien "mistresses". He kept it subtle and never invited them over when Parker was home. Parker, however, became a vampire because of her aspiration and cheated in front of Hayden, causing a major fight and divorce. She sent her resulting son (Luca) to Hayden to raise while she's off gallivanting in Forgotten Hollow and doing nothing to help raise the kids. She's literally just breeding dogs for her sons to have when they move out.

Hayden and co have just gotten a vet clinic, and Rez has a serious girlfriend and is a few days from aging up. So yeah, that's my crazy story

Right now I'm playing a single dad of two boys. He got two different townie girls pregnant within a day of each other. He took custody of them once they both turned child age (so I wouldn't have to deal with toddler stage. haha) He bought a nice house he can't afford. He's an aspiring musician and he's the "cool dad". Leaves the kids at home while he goes out to the bars and flirts with girls. He struggles financially while trying to spoil his sons. Oh and he just got another girl pregnant so here comes number 3. I haven't decided if he will take custody of the 3rd kid yet. Depends on how much money he will save. He borrowed a loan from two of his family members already.

Well I had a ton of fun completing the woohoo with 50 different sims achievement. I took the gigolo challenge and rewrote for my own personal game play and had a blast. I found ways to make the game produce more drama as well as mods. Only one in which I can state here which is the MC Command Center. I built community lots using aura objects as decor to help produce the atmosphere in which I wanted the venue to have. At first you do need to do a little nudging and play with MCCC setting until you have the results you want but it will not take long before your sims whims are filled with all kinds of drama inducing game play.

make a challenge out of it still have two or three kids but pick one of the parents to have a guy and girl on the side, and the other to have their opposite so they both have kids. One family gets the best, though they aren't close and one family struggles but adore each other, while the family the mom and dad started together is left alone with eldest, a teen is left to take care of her siblings.
