FEEDBACK on Get to Work: Tell us what you think

I wish I could but for some reason, it's not letting me play the game! Even though I pre-ordered months ago! It's still showing it as greyed out (even though there's no option to download or install.) Any ideas on what's wrong?

I was only able to stay awake through the download and about 15 minutes of game play. I sent my Sim to the NPC stores and WOW! tons of other Sims were there. I got so tired of the empty venues in Sims 3. Grimmy was at the NPC store too, I think this EP has so much variety and so many things to do!

The clothes and many of the hairstyles are super "hipster", and I doubt I'll use the vast majority of them. Kind of an odd choice for a career expansion. Buy mode options are good, and even if they are geared towards career lots, I can see a lot of stuff being used for homes too. The active careers are nice, but I imagine that after I work through them once they won't be played much again. Just the nature of scripted linear gameplay. The retail aspect is also nice, but I miss having real restaurants. Not being able to use the cash register is an odd choice too, since not everyone wants a modern shop. At least have it as an option. And I really wish there was an option to disable aliens outside their world, not just disguise them.

The customers are not acting like real customers. They pile up in one big group convo in one part of my store and don't really shop, and then they all start dancing. The retail aspect of it to me is really not that clear. I like how OFB was run, where you had clear ways to talk to your customers. I also don't like how my customers do t give me some sort of credit card or cash. ALSO, why are children in my art gallery at 10am when they should be in school? There are about 5 kids a day in my store. I really think that only sims who don't have anything to do during the day should be shopping. And finally we seriously need to get some door locks. The customers just wander in and out of the break rooms like its nothing. This is the number one complaint I have seen about retail.

• Tell us what you are enjoying and why.
  I have only played Doctor and Scientist career so far to the third promotion. I have yet to use Detective or create a business since I haven't had the time yet! So far, I like the careers. I like that you do not have to go and that they can also work passively if you don't feel like going. I like how the tasks are varied and have some realistic things like get coffee or a snack break.
  
  
• Tell us about any bugs or glitches you find so we can get them fixed.
  For the Doctor career, sometimes the doctor doesn't show up even though other staff members do so you can't transfer patients (unless you can transfer them to nurses?)
  
  Also, not sure if this is a bug, but it doesn't always ask me if I want to go to work with my sim... I assumed we could choose every single shift? For two days in a row it did not ask me.
  
  
• Help us to continue tuning performance and gameplay by providing feedback on your experience.
  Various wishes/complaints:
  1. I wish that we got an entirely new world/town instead of just Magnolia Promenade. I was surprised when we didn't. There are 4 commercial lots just like the rest of the towns.
  2. I wish we could run a business from our homes.
  3. More sims should be able to be photographed for "Group picture" -- 2 is a little disappointing
  

This is what immediately comes to mind, and based off of my very limited game play. So far, I really like most of what I have experienced.

I really love the detective career

i really hate that we cant restock from our inventory. its a shame we have food or copies or what ever in our inventory and still have to pay to restock.

@Wikdwikkan try logging out of your origin account and logging back in or just go back to the main games window and hit refresh its possible it didnt refresh...if your still having an issue contact support one way or another (i prefer by phone its easier to get the point across vocally for me)

I beat you to it gurus. :D I started a similar thread that already has many reviews. It seems a lot of people like the EP

I am REALLY enjoying this EP! I like that your household can own a retail store, and individuals can still have other jobs. Right now I have a doctor and cop in my household and it's so fun to go to work with them.

The good:
- There's a fair amount of content in this game
- The clothes and hair look nice
- MP is very pretty
- Looking forward to when the retail part gets expanded as more content gets added on
- Loving the baking/ photography skill


Not so good:
- MP is tiny...way too tiny
- The career lots are kind of tiny too- they looked so much bigger in the trailers
- The computers at work are always taken, can we get the ability to assign computers at work?
- For hospitals: how come we can't interact with patients while they are laying down? For a lot of interactions, they have to stand up.
- Really annoying that locked doors are not an added feature here, I don't enjoy playing retail because of this
- I feel like there's not enough decor to build a convincing clothing store- can we please get the browsable clothing racks back from TS2?
- We desperately need more traits and aspirations in general, this would have been a great opportunity to add them on
- I want an option to disable aliens (rare instances abductions are OK, and I like visiting them at Sixam...but I don't really care for them walking around town). It ruins the immersion for a realistic player like me
