Feels like hotels are the only thing missing from my game.

I love running businesses in the game. I wanted to run a bakery irl but it's too stressful on top of a job and not very profitable. So, I have created a cute, pink cafe/bakery in my game. I also ran an Indian restaurant with Raj Rasoya as the owner.

I would love to be able to run a hotel business as well. It feels like my game would finally be complete with hotels and anything else is a bonus. I was never an Airbnb person and they're no longer in now. Don't know why EA has passed up on including them in its vacation packs.
  • I would also love hotels! It seems to me to have been a scrapped idea for Island Living. The biggest clue to this being the resort style Bb catalogue, plus it’s an obvious destination world.

As for Hotels never actually being added as a feature, I’m guessing it has something to do with performance and sim limits. There’s like a 15 sim limit to any lot, at any given time, which would nerf any kind of hotel gameplay imo. High schools as an example, or any large lot or neighbourhood really, feels baron at the best of times.

TS2 had playable hotels and there weren't any issues with them due to number of NPCs on the lot. There was the concierge, maid and room service and because gameplay was more or less restricted to the room, it didn't feel like there was not much to do at the hotel or not enough sims on the lot. Basically it wasn't much different from playing a rental lot with a butler. The only big difference was the price you paid because it cost a lot less to rent one room and you could order food to your room.
  • Not the only thing, but for me, it's the most important thing missing. If I had to pick just one more thing I'd buy for the Sims 4 it would be a hotel pack, regardless of if it's EP or GP.
  • I want a lot more for this game but hotels would be amazing!

I feel like they need to fix dine out first though if your want to run a successful hotel then you should be able to run a restaurant too.

Yes I know there is a dine out mod but we shouldn’t need to use a mod to make an older expansion pack work… It deserves a refresh anyway.
  • I wouldn't say hotels are the only thing missing but hotels are definitely one of the big features we still need. I hope we can get them this year.
