Fence problem help please

Okay so you know when your house is on a foundation you have to draw the fence to the house/foundation to get a ground level fence. If you start it from the house it sits on the same level as the house.
I dunno if the problem now is the new foundation system or what but I can't draw the fence into the house, it says something about "something something cluster". So I can either have an elevated fence or a gap between the house and the fence.
Does anyone know how to successfully connect the two so the fence is on the ground and the house on a foundation?

  • I had that issue too. You simply draw the fence up until one square from the foundation and then select the fence you just drew and use the arrow to pull it towards the foundation. That way, the game won't try to make a room out of the fenced area, which is probably what you were aiming for.
  • I never put a fence that close to the house. I usually use one square distant from the property line to create a fence. I effectively fence the entire lot, by doing so. Good to know that should I desire to do something different just how to keep the fence from 'flying', as it were. Thanks for the tip!

That was it. You can't make it a room. I figured it out earlier but forgot to update this thread :)
