We need online dating and blind dates as a way to meet a potential love interest.
There’s reputation based blind date phone calls that came with Get Famous. I never usually accept them though, because the time I did, it generated some really hideous townies as the date and it starts them off with a partially filled romance bar, so it’s not like I could ghost them or politely decline and leave, as I would have done if they hadn’t been introduced yet.
As for the OP, I don’t manufacture ideal partners for my sims. I let relationships happen organically. I send my single sims looking for potential hookups choosing from what is already in the game.
I’ve had a spectrum of thing since happen, like an eternal bachelor sim who’s currently casually dating 10 different sims because I can’t really see any of them as ‘the one’. I also have a similar situation with Penny Pizzazz, who’s dating a bunch of guys, but in this case she’s got great chemistry with several of them and I can’t choose which one I want as the permanent boyfriend.
In other cases, I’ve had a house of three roommates, who all went on separate romantic adventures, but I realised that two of them would look really great together and had them become more than just friends. Now they’re exclusively together. This happens a lot in my household with multiple sims. I have them go explore their options with other sims, but a lot of the time ‘the one’ is right there living with them, closer than they thought. Straight out of a telenovela.
