Is there a way to find an urn/tombstone of a sim who died while I was not controlling the household? It's not in family inventory and it's not in any of the sim's inventories. Is it lost forever? I looked all over the lot and couldn't find it. Could it be they died off lot? If so, might their tombstone be on one of the community lots? I want to set up a little private grave area for the family in the back yard.

I don't have an answer for you but I can help keep this bumped up so that, maybe, someone will have the answer.

The urns are HUGE, there aren't any in the house or on the lot anywhere. I really don't know where they died as I was not playing their household at the time. I'm playing a rotational game. I really hope there's a way to retrieve them if they don't die at home because I would very much like to set up grave sites for them all.Thanks for the responses so far.

I've been wondering about this too. I noticed I only saw two of my neighbors when there are three in the house, and when I made them active he was gone. My friendship panel says he's deceased, but there's no sign of an urn or stone anywhere. There are two other friends who have supposedly passed on, but I ran into one of them at the park. Still a good game. Just needs to have a few bumps smoothed out.

I asked them to look into allowing them to be created in played households and one of the Gurus said they would pass forward the suggestion and that they thought allowing them to be created in played households was a good compromise. I don't know if it will ever happen but, at least the suggestion is out there.

If your present at a death you can take the urn and place it into your inventory that's what I try to do for my back yard grave yard but if your not present and they don't die at home the urn is lost

If your sim(s) weren't present when said sim died, Tomb Stone is lost BUT at night I often find random Sim Ghosts hang out (with only Base Game) at The Blue Velvet. The ONLY place I personally have ever seen ghost sims hang out. So, while the tomb might be gone forever but not the ghost at least!

Yes, we learned that back in November of 2014 :tongue:

Just messing with you. They took the suggestion of allowing tombstones to spawn in played households that weren't active but it hasn't come into being yet. Would be nice for rotational players who play with aging on.
