Have to remember that caring for baby raises their affection for whomever is caring for them and it does transfer to toddlerhood to limited extent so I'd say this skill is more of a "When you REALLY need it"
I agree, I have noticed that caring for a baby boosts the relationship a lot. Which makes caring for a toddler easier.
