You didn't say how long it was before you decided it was too long. I thought mine was broke because it had been 1 and 1/2 sim days. I was going to delete it and get another one but got side-tracked and forgot. When I went back into the game the stuff was done. Maybe it takes longer depending on what you put in it, I had roses in mine. Just a thought.
