- Simmerville2 years agoLegendI wonder if the Frugal trait will have any impact on rent... probably not? Other (bought) traits that might be affected? Free services should be safe.

I use it actively for my nobility, otherwise there would be no chance for them to pay their bills. I think the trait gives 25% off bills, so this trait is among the rewards my servants can get at the Butler Academy, makes them more popular with their employer.
Perhaps Landlords will prefer Tenants with the Frugal trait? They should spend less power and water, which might not help on their rent, but would certainly gain the Landlord ;) - i_love_frogs_112 years agoSeasoned AceOh that would be interesting!!

I usually play with Carl's mod that lowers what you earn and increases bills, so Frugal is the second trait I get after Seldom Sleepy. - One thing I'm curious about that I'm not sure has been addressed is whether or not the "home" unit counts against the 99 units thing. So if I own a row of three terrace apartments, live in one and rent out the other two, is that three units or two? Because that could go a long way in helping with my 99 units limit (I am basically already at 99 if I count up all the possible multi-unit housing I already have in my save).

I was just thinking the same thing, because the image has keys, and the the green sims plumbob on one.

as for the different numbers I keep getting trying to count, I was counting with a big n 95 mask under a silk cover on, with my vision obscured, as I was multitasking my real life daily activities. I would really need a hard copy and a marker to count this because the bubbles are not lined up neatly as you would imagine. - AncientMuse22 years agoSeasoned AceGuess I should have waited until the pack came out before I jumped the gun and started building. I just bulldozed 4 builds (work in progress) that I started on this past weekend. They won't comply with the new restrictions, so there's no sense trying to finish them.
2 waterfront beach lots for Sulani
1 penthouse luxury apartment
1 campground rental cabins for Granite Falls
I was especially happy with the way my woodsy campground was turning out. *sigh* So many hours wasted on that when I should have been getting my real life Xmas baking done instead. Serves me right for dodging my irl chores and committments. :D - SimTresa2 years agoSeasoned AceI get 95, but there seems to be at least 3 rooms that doesn't have a key over it, so 98?

@AncientMuse
maybe you can resort to an older save and save them. it's your work and you never know what the future holds of what modders may do. can save it in your personal library for a project to finish or tweak later.
I built separate cabin in Granite falls before and with the lock method it was a load a fun. And I dont recall exactly if it happened there on another group vacation-
But in a motel type lot I made in Selvadorada with four motel type units, I went on vacation with less than the full occupancy and others, not from my family or group joined the lot. I am not sure if it was a bug or a mod I had in at the time. Few times I enjoyed it as they were acting like npcs. I which these types of lots like motel or hotels could be a update or refresh instead of a new pack.
You can get creative with the builds even if its not catering to official gameplay. It's a lot of work is the only thing and so time consuming. I have so many half baked projects but I throw them in my personal library. I think if you build it, information should be in your tray somehow.
