I'm not sure what you are arguing. It allows up to 99 units per lot. I didnt count the squares, but whether he put 89 or 99 on that image for an example, the maximum with cheat is 99, whether or not that fits on a sims lot or not.

that it was technically incorrect. It is technically incorrect because the cheat allows you to build more than 6 units up to the 99 per save maximum. The cheat does nothing to the maximum number of units per lot.

If you can link where the devs/gurus say otherwise, I will stand corrected. Otherwise I will no longer comment on your inability to read the FAQ provided by EA.

@PhilSims I do not use twitter much, but on the forums threads and several video bloggers have said 99. I can see with my eyes there are over 100 icons with keys in them, we are gathering represent units on a single lot. I have eyes I can count. The faq came out after. They have been discussing 99 units among the sims community everywhere over this past week. I have the ability to read, but the faq is vague. You are arguing what they do no specify, where the sims guru shows over 100. There may be conflicting information and we will know more hopefully after the live.

I counted all the icons, twice. There are 94, 95 if you count the green one.

For me not being able to use my Sulani waterfront collective and actually making it work is disappointing, as is not being able to divide penthouses (the one in the fashion district is ridiculously big). But I will make do with what I get.

Your both correct, but I think what the other poster is trying to say is you don't need the cheat to put 99 units in your save, you can do that without cheating if you are spreading them out on different lots and worlds. You only need the cheat if you plan on putting more than 6 units on a single lot.

The Reason for no penthouse Residential rental MAY have something to do with Basements are locked out of them. When i worked on my beautiful penthouse Apartment project, that seemed to be a sticking point, Also, may have to do with limited access points as, there'll only be one elevator.

as soon as I understand what difference it makes whether there are 95 or 100 icons. The limit per save is 99. Maybe the cheats is to unlock maximum units per lot. I saw somewhere the actual cheat as it is written. It may be explained in the live stream.

It doesn't, I think mentioning that just confused things. The cheat is exactly for putting as many units as you want on one lot whether it be 8 or 99. Or you can spread the units out over multiple lots and worlds to meet the 99 limit without needing the cheat.

What I am saying is that the cheat removes the cap of 6 units per lot and that it doesn't change the cap to 99. It just removed the cap of 6. Cheat enable, no cap, build as many as you like, no limit (but see below).
However, there is a cap of 99 units per save, irrespective of the cheat.
