It isn't so much the mood mechanic that I find frustrating. I have been pretty good in controlling the moods of my sims. Its the inappropriate object attraction that really winds me up.
I have just experienced an outstanding example of this in my game.
My controlled sim lives in a house on the edge of windenburg and I sent her off for a jog. She reached the opposite end of windenburg and I saw a sim she knows and her energised moodlet had dropped to happy, so I stopped her and then engaged her in conversation with the other sim. I selected Ask to Hang Out and was agreed with a positive from the NPC sim. I selected a couple of other interactions like Get to Know, etc and I saw them drop in the queue and my sim started the interaction.
After listening to part of the interaction, the NPC sim took off at a full run to my sims house right at the other end of windenburg to chat on the computer :/
