Forgotten Hollow is beautiful, but...

There's nothing to do there.
I appreciate why they had to make it a world with only 1 neighbourhood, but I can't help thinking if it had 2 neighbourhoods/10 lots total there would be room to place community lots and there would be more to do.

I get very few sims appear there and they just walk through from one side to the other and disappear; no one even makes use of the chess tables.

It seems like it would be a great place for vampires to live, but in practice it feels lonely being there.
Does that make sense?
I'm trying to come up with ways to give my sims more to do there but it's proving difficult.
  • I still don't play as vampires much .. just as a vampire slayer (no cures here @Writin_Reg hehe.. but great idea). I do use Forgotten Hollow for creepy themes though it's had the Adams family in it once never got around to putting the Munsters there. Right now I have a save with the Bates Motel... the Psycho house is on another lot. Eventually I'll get around to playing it as a vampire or witch community.

You do realize that you can live in Forgotten Hollow and frequent locations in other worlds, right? In my opinion, the term “world” here is confusing. All the worlds, or more correctly, towns, all exist within your current game. Calling them worlds makes it seem like they are separate.

If you wanna go to a gym, click travel, then click the world icon in the upper left, choose the town and venue, and just go. When you think about it as if they are all cities in the same world, it opens things up creatively.

My main sim, Drucilla, frequently leaves FH looking for collectibles, goes to the gym, and goes on dates at the museum. Not every town needs every venue. I will agree though, it needed at least two more open lots. But other than that, I love it.
  • I, personally, figure Sims 4 Worlds have too many bars. I'm a teetotaler and generally cheat any goals that are Mixology-related. I figure there are precious few residential lots when playing with vampires since they're immortal and, eventually, successive generations will run out of places to live since none of them are dying off and vacating their homes. I'm more concerned about places for my Sims of the Night to live than with venues.
  • I would love to see FH updated to 10 lots. I feel that is minimum for a "world". Vamps was one of the 1st packs I purchased. You can only have 8 sims per lot. I'd like younger vamps move out. :) I don't think occult sims are as big as regular, but I'm a supernatural fan.

There is a reason why most fiction either has vampires very VERY seldom turning others, OR very strongly hunting down and destroying other vampires that turn humans without a "permit". It seems rather reflected here too; Vlad has been living alone for how many generations? And even though mr Vatore turns Inna Cent in the trailer, he is a Guilty Drinker in the game so that would be rather unlikely.
  • My vampires don't turn others often either, mostly just spouses (eternal love and all), but they are having plenty of babies. Most of my vampire population is born vampires, rather than turned. Such is the nature of the Sims. With generation after generation of immortals, they need space in such a small universe.
  • My vampires don't turn others very often either. Just enough to complete the vampire family aspiration.

I have run out of lots in my game for both vampires and humans. I keep my population at 200 sims. even at that number of sims, i have been experiencing a lot of lag since getting the pets EP.

so i don't need more lots for more sims, because my game is already laggy with a 200 sim population.
