Formal/Party outfits

I agree, formal was usually too formal for parties.

I love that these are separate now.

Me too, I didn't see the point but with dinner parties to be introduced I have warmed to the idea.

The formal clothes for females were limited but I actually didn't mind the male's. Anyways, we'll be getting more for the real thing. :#

Formal is for events like a wedding, where you dress up with tuxedos and such. Party is for when you get drunk and dance on tables :P

In the CAS demo you can create more than one type for each category right off the bat. I thought they said up to 5 outfits per category were allowed.

@Tojax - if you mean making three or four everyday outfits, party outfits, etc. then yep, you sure can. There are tabs you can hit above each section:

I'm so glad we can set party outfits now without having to consider if that party outfit is suitable for a wedding! :D

I agree, I thought there was a wider range of male clothes.
I'm relived there's still more to come in terms of clothing and accessories.

Female sims shouldn't be forced to wear a dress or skirt. Some nice formal trousers and formal jackets would be nice, perhaps some dressy tops to go with those trousers, i.e. lace tops or tunics. I for one don't own a cocktail/formal dress so it would be great if sims weren't forced into "girly" mode.
