Formal/Party outfits

I've done some research ;) and found that we can host dinner parties, birthday parties, gatherings with work colleagues, and we can also invite round everyone in the neighborhood who has the same traits as us.

Well, thankfully, they have added the ability to unlock any and all clothing categories for each category type. Even if skirts and dresses come up as the only option on the party tab, you can go into the menu and unlock all the everyday options (etc.) to use as well.

From what I would understand, formal would be for more formal occasions, like a wedding party or something. And party clothes would be for house parties and birthday parties and the like.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind some women's suits added to the mix.

I love that we can just remove the filter from the different outfit categories and select whatever clothing we want in the demo. Sims 3 had some asinine clothing categorization on some outfits

I think it's great that they suggest clothing for the different categories but also give us the freedom to branch out if we want

Thanks for this thread, I was a bit unsure of the usage of the Party outfit category. I thought it was for semi-casual parties, so I guess I was right. I generally do not stick with the filters for the different categories anyways! I used some "party" outfits for some of my sims' formal when a sim is really not at all the formal type. I always like to have a few sims who utterly fail at formal or they outright disrespect the whole concept of formal :P

I agree, I think the way they dress really gives them even more of a personality
