I do find the 20th anniversary patch to be underwhelming in content, but I was pleasantly surprised by the free hot tub, I certainly wasn't expecting that. The thing I was most happy about is that it seems EA/Maxis are breaking with their policy that the 'unique' items from stuff packs aren't available in other DLC/new content. While I don't really need a new set of earbuds, or see bowling lanes fit into future content (even though the bowling stuff pack is my favorite stuff pack to date), the fact that hot tubs (or more specifically one hot tub model) was all that we would have in the sims 4 due to this stuff pack restriction irked me a lot. The sims 3 had many different models of hot tubs and it just seemed like yet another restriction in the sims 4 to me. I would also like to see regular climbing walls and more murphy bed models in future releases. Heck, I would like to see an outdoor four or five floors high rock formation that sims could climb like a climbing wall.
So yeah, I bough Perfect Patio full price ages ago, but don't mind that it's 'main feature' has now been made available to all players for free. It would have been nicer if it had a more original design instead of this seemingly cobbled together one though.
It's also funny to me that there are people complaining that the patch didn't include any objects from the past and at the same time there are people complaining that all we got was an old hot tub from five years ago :D
