Has anyone gotten this one to work?My sim's name is Arvin Spencer and I want him to be friends with Marshall CrossI used testingcheats on and testingcheatsenabled true. I have used them separately and together. I then type inmodifyrelationship Arvin Spencer Marshall Cross -50 friendship_mainNothingWhat am I doing wrong?Also, I've tried usingrelationship.create_friends_for_simThis is the only cheat I really want to use. I think making friends is a pain and maintaining them is even worse. The degradation of relationship goes by too quickly.Thank for any help you may give.

If you use the minus sign before the number (as in -50), you'll make them enemies -- it will take the relationship bar into the red. If you use the minus sign before the number (as in -50), you'll make them enemies -- it will take the relationship bar into the red.

I also think the capitalization is important -- often is in computer coding (I've done a bit of that in my day).

So to modify the relationship you'd first type

testingcheats true

then

Modifyrelationship Arvin Spencer Marshall Cross 50 Friendship_Main

and it should work.

Oh, and if you're not averse to mods there's a good one at Mod The Sims which disables the relationship decay; there's also a version where you can tune the percentage of decay where it does drop but not as drastically.

Heya, actually the cheat console converts everything to lowercase so capitalization doesn't matter, just spelling and that testingcheats is on :)

This is also why the setage cheat doesn't work when specifying an age, because the code is looking for a capitalized word (i.e. Adult or Child) which we can never match.
