Friends, I am asking for your help please?

Friends, I'm hoping someone can help me.

When my sim family had their first child, Isamu Miyamoto was hired as their nanny. Due to some game quirk, he never left. He worked hard and developed a life-long friendship with the child. The couple went on to have 4 more children and he stayed with the family helping to look after all 5 children. When the children grew into teenagers, he finally left the home.

About 3 sim days later, the family received a notice that he had passed away. The entire family is devastated! I would love to resurrect him somehow. Is there anyway this can be done? I don't use MCCC or any script mods. I can't find an urn or gravestone (I was told they aren't for NPCs?).

If I can't find a way to resurrect him, can someone please save him from one of their games and upload him to the gallery for me please so that I can d/l him and bring him back into my game that way? I know the history won't be the same, but at least he'll be someone whom I can then add to a family.

Thank you all so much!

    I'm sorry, but no. :(
Without a previous 'save', he is gone forever. Even with mods, it is impossible to bring back a deceased NPC character that has been completely 'sent to the netherworld'.

With a previous save, you could 'clone' him. Save him to your library (gallery), then go to your main save and either add him to a lot, or even join the family household. It's a 'clone' though. Even then, not the same character your Sim-family knew. A copy of him though.

He's been resurrected! @xoJessi 's instructions worked perfectly  Thank you for helping too!

Omg.. omg @xoJessi ... You DID it!!!! Thank you so, so much!! He is back alive, with all relationships intact! And he has joined the family! You have been so truly helpful, thank you so very much! ❤️❤️❤️

    Nice! Wasn't 'un-ghosted' then yet. B)
  • Wow, had I that informations a few years ago, I wouldn't have had to restart my Pinstar Legacy Challenge save. Oh, well. You live and learn, right? Congratulations on getting him back. Yay!

Thanks @GalacticGal so much! Sorry you didn't have this information when you needed it :(
  • @Jonalin I'm so glad you got him back!
I'd suggest saving your family to your library so you have a copy of all of them for a back up. You could even upload to the gallery and save them there as well, they'll be available to other players but you will have a copy of them available even in you lose your save somehow.
  • Awww you sound so happy and excited at having him back! I love reading threads like this.

So glad that @xoJessi did an awesome job of helping you. I'm sure that info will also be very useful for other simmers in the future.

Absolutely @Catzilla ! Thank you for the great reminder! ?

I always save a copy of the family I'm playing to my library but because he was an NPC, he wasn't included in the save. I had planned for one of the oldest daughters to develop a deeper mentorship with him and, as I said above, within a few days he had passed on. I'm so happy he's back and that the strong friendship bonds are intact ?

@xoJessi most certainly saved the day for me! And yes, @elanorbreton, I'm very happy indeed! ? The story line lives on lol!
