Some of you have hit it on the head!
I feel traits should play a part for sure but they don't.
Painting should be considered fun for an artsy type of Sim. Excercise should be fun for an active Sim.
Why isn't practicing magic fun? Or casting spells?
I can't even think of enough examples. I usually just default to have my Sim play a game or watch TV or movies.
