For me, it seems just about right. If anything, there should be an option to do something "for fun".
For example, painting should be fun, but isn't. Why? Because you're trying to make a buck, What if you could draw for fun? Level up skill, increase fun, but the result will not cost anything or very little,
Otherwise, no. I don't think it's broken. It's actually pretty decent, IMO.
