That doesn't even begin to explain it. I was in the zone with my current sim family when origin kicked me out and QUIT! To tell me the game had a patch update....and there was not even a patch update ...

Something similar happened to me too once and what I did was immediately start over. You’ll be amazed how fast rebuilding goes when you just finished a house. A lot of time is spent with figuring out what to do, choosing, deciding, trying out, trying something new. You don’t have to repeat that process and just focus on throwing it all in the way you had decided it. Just a tip if something like that would happen again because it helps dealing with the frustration of losing all your work ;)
As for the OP, I had no idea that could happen!! That’s bad....
