My PlantSim scenario has hit a new snag. I have Blossom sorted out, but a problem that plagued her in WC is still there in Sulani. I had her plant the seeds in her starter pack. I have her water them, then talk to each one. They sprout, fully formed, the spinach in particular sprout full and ready to harvest within 24 hours. When they sprout they already look brown and wilted, and before she can water the peas and harvest the spinach everything dies. Within four sim hours of sprouting everything in the planters is dead. By noon on day two every seed in the starter pack has sprouted and almost immediately died.Has anyone else had this happen or is my game really broken? If it's happened to you, how did you fix it? At this point the PlantSim scenario is back to being unplayable.Edit:Forgot to mention I had her buy new packs from the computer and the same thing happens to those too.

I have seen others say that they have better luck with their gardens not being so needy if they use the hydroponic planters from Eco Lifestyles or the garden plots from Cottage Living. I myself plant mostly in the hdyroponic planters and the green planters from the old plantsim challenge, though I don't do it for any reason other than I like how they look.

@Stormkeep The plots did the trick, so far. I had her plant everything, bell peppers, mushrooms, and peas. The peppers sprouted quickly, but for some reason the sprinkler would not water them and they quickly dropped in quality to next to nothing. When I say it wouldn't water, the sprinkler was working but the plants still kept saying they needed watered. I think that went on just long enough to get them past the point they couldn't be saved. While she was sleeping, weeds appeared on one of the pepper plants and before she could get to them they died. Other than that everything else is doing well. There has been a problem with plants reverting to dirt in the past. It was suggested that you don’t use the good soil trait on the lot and that you fast forward through 7 or 8 am. I can’t remember which. Also don’t forget to fertilize them as soon as the fertilizer option pops up, I check several times a day. My daughter said the sprinklers have not been working right for awhile.

Hi @DaniRose2143 it does sound like it could be a mod issue to me.You can also try:repair gamemove dirt piles into household inventory and then back out into the dirt againThose things have helped me with dirt pile plants in the past.

Have you deleted the localthumbcache.package after removing your mods?

@Stormkeep I have been using the base game garden planter boxes. I was thinking about trying the plots next. Thanks for the link too. I'll try those when I get home from work.

If none of that works I'm beginning to think my game needs repaired. I mentioned in the update thread the feature for zooming in on sims hands when applying nails only just appeared in my game on Tuesday. I wonder if the frequent cc adds and purges may have broken my game?

@SheriSim57 I haven't had that issue. I thought everything was ok, but that was wishful thinking. She's living in Tangled Flat, so just across the road from The Sand Bar. She went to have a drink and meet some locals, she was gone 2 or 3 hours and when she got back, everything was dead. I went back to the last save point, had her go to the bar and come right back. Sure enough, everything is dead. She can't leave the lot for any amount of time or every plant dies. I have to go back to the link Stormkeep gave me and see if there is more I can do.

I'm glad you got it fixed I had no idea then I saw you had the planters and I hadn't been using them for the save where they were working, though I saw something else when the seasons changed the plant died and despawned but what had grown was sitting around it for me to collect.

@RedDestiny92 At the moment it's only fixed so long as she stays on the lot. If she leaves for any amount of time all the plants die. I have a project for the weekend.

Oh I see, maybe you could try speeding it up while you're there to watch them and if all else fails one way I got around some of my issues was to at least cheat past the first level of gardening. I'm not sure it actually does anything it just appeared to.

Stormkeep gave me some links to dig through, so I'll go through them tomorrow or Saturday. I was really hoping the switch to plots had done the trick but no. I may try pulling all the mods and see what happens too.

You can also try:
repair game
move dirt piles into household inventory and then back out into the dirt again
Those things have helped me with dirt pile plants in the past.
