Gender Options not Available to Children

So I had a biologically male toddler sim age up with very feminine features and a "girl" hairstyle (It was a custom hair the shows up under both genders). Anyways, I know the game allows users to customize gender features so I turned on full edit mode and went to change the kids clothing preference to feminine so I wouldn't have to keep changing the default clothing type and was surprised to see it wasn't available until teen. Give how supportive this game seems to be of the LBGT community I was surprised that they would limit this feature. Does anyone know of a mode or a cheat (I was already using cas.fulleditmode) that will allow this to be changed on a child?

  • It's still a bit of a hassle, but I'd just remove gender from fashion choice entirely (that is, remove the masculine tag) because there's a fair amount of children's clothing that appears on both lists - without opening the game and checking, I think the bulk of children's clothing (and toddlers) tagged masculine are also tagged feminine, so simply removing the masculine tag from filters should be enough.

Now, I play on PC, where it's a simple matter to close out tags (just click on the x), so I don't know if this is significantly faster than changing preferences every time on console.
  • I would say just remember to change the setting when they age up to teen and dress them as you like until then.

Having said that, is it possible without using the cas.fulleditmode (or whatever it is) to change the pregnancy options in YA and Adults? If not, it definitely should be. I've never tried because I think men should only ever get pregnant by alien women. It's just more natural that way. lol

I swear I have had that option once they are at least a young adult (it might not be there as a teen, as teens can't get pregnant, but I just might not have looked). I just hit "Change sim" in the mirror and it's a drop down menu on the top left of the screen, near where it say their gender. You can select "can get pregnant/can't" etc...

I know you can when you first create a household but is this with someone that was born in the game? If you can, answer quickly and once so we don't highjack this thread since this is not the purpose of the thread. Thanks.
