I have noticed a couple of time in my rotational play, that if I leave the acting career sims household before the acting gig and don't return before the time of the gig, my sims is stalled in her car...

Even without changing households (but leaving the house), I'm running into this problem now for the first time.
My actor had an audition on Sunday morning, then went to the awards ceremony Sunday night. Now come Monday, he is unable to actually go to his gig.
I've tried searching the forums and the internet for anyone who may have a fix without luck. Found lots of stuff about the prep tasks resetting, which thankfully I haven't had an issue with. But nothing other than people saying they're having the gig issue, with no fix or workarounds. :-(
