Get Famous: Acting Career Work Prep Task (Mar 2020)

As with so many things, I'm coming very late to this party. I focused on the mod that gave my Sim a chance to be a singer, instead. I thought about having him move into the Entertainment field hoping he would be eligible for a Starlight Accolade, but instead, since he got his BA in Fine Arts (notice the s that is spectacularly missing in the game has been 'returned' ;) ), I would put him into the Acting Career, instead. What I have noticed is that if I have him fulfill his acting tasks for the gig, if I should foolishly allow him to go to another lot for whatever reason, when I check on it again, it shows he still needs to fulfill the tasks. Face/palm. I was able to have him complete his 'homework' before he had to go to the gig, so all was well. But, I have to say, I don't like it that he has to be lot-bound, to keep from having to go through it all again. Thankfully, with the Road to Fame mod, I can send him to Away Concerts, or to the studio to cut an album, which in both cases keeps him on the lot, much like Daycare for the toddlers. So, he doesn't lose the work tasks he's already completed. But, that doesn't give him much of a life, so to speak.

It's stifling my normal gameplay. Is this a bug, known or otherwise? Is there a workaround for it?
