It sounds like the decision to make all worlds accessible in a single save game, rather than a save set in a dedicated world as in TS3, has effectively kneecapped future world size. That seems to demonstrate poor forward planning at the time of the game's original design.
I would be a little less annoyed if they had a CAW tool that I could use to build my own larger world. As it is, I will be stuck with their ever-shrinking worlds. All the background decor in the world means nothing when your world only fits 6 households.
What a major disappointment.
Exactly this and situations like this also suck for those of us who'd like to stick to one world. For example, I'd like to solely use Brindleton Bay but I can't for long before everyone becomes related. While I appreciate being able to easily switch between the worlds on a single save, it's clear now that this might start affecting new worlds.
I said this some years ago, but without a CAW tool, we're constantly depending on EA for new worlds, whether from boredom or from running out of space, or whatever it may be. And then what happens when the game inevitably comes to an end? In Sims 2/3 new worlds from the community are still being published, or I can easily go use the appropriate tools and conjure up my own. But without a CAW tool for Sims 4, there's no longevity or rather a long after-life. - and then situations like this crop up.
I enjoy Sims 4 but stuff like this will always bug me.
