Get Famous NOT worth the money or TIME

I don't really have much to say about GF because the actual Gameplay content in GF isn't even interesting enough for me to actually play it out.

Pretty much. I mean... I got my Sim maxed in the acting career pretty fast and it's just boring and repetitive - even more than the other active careers. The fame system doesn't add anything to my game either, honestly... I don't need more money, and my Sims don't go out much... just no point to it (I suppose it's a bit more realistic that celebrity chefs or painters DO get famous though).

Honestly I haven't bothered playing again in days to actually get the master actress aspiration done (because it means more grinding acting jobs to max her fame, and I can't be bothered with that right now). And once it's done, I'll have nothing to look forward to in game anyway.

To be completely fair - Seasons it the only EP I actually really use (mostly for Holidays and enjoying the different seasons). I got bored with pets because they are so limited and don't interact enough with my Sims, I'm not interested in clubs, festivals, or apartments. I'm more into legacy/family play, and that's really the content we're lacking right now (with only one GP really devoted to that, and neglected teens - teens is a LONG LIFESTAGE too).

I fee like Seasons and Vampires are the only real packs I ever actually utilise for their Gameplay value; I don't really pick active careers for my sims often nor do I enjoy owning businesses, I use clubs here and there but not as often as I would like (love living in the world though), festivals are pointless to me though I still try to attend them when I can and apartments are terrible but I like living in them if I want something quick and cheap and small to live in, pets for me have actually become way TOO needy for me and considered unplayable for me, and well, now that I look at it, I guess I never really saw much appeal for Getting Famous after all.

Though, I'd have to disagree with the fact that family/legacy players aren't getting enough love; in fact, I think they've gotten plenty, with so many small packs dedicated to everyday mundane things (looking at you Laundry Day), I think builders for a long time have been neglected. Only recently have they gotten the attention they deserved, but even then they still don't have everything. I think now the supernatural players are being left to the curb now; compared with all these small everyday life packs and the impressive toddler lifestage, compared to the underdone occult lifestates of Aliens, Ghosts, and Plantsims combined, pale in comparison to what the Supernatural players really have compared to the others. Vampires are the only good occult we really have, and even now it seems a little bit more and more is being taken away from them, whether it's due to complaints from supernatural haters or really bad bugs that deter further play with occults.

I beg to differ, I find GF in fact quite enjoyable exclude the bugs. I like the attention my sims are getting from paparrazi and fans, the fame system and also the acting part. This EP is definitely not the worst park, the worst EP in my opinion is CL.

I think it depends on what you're looking for in your gameplay whether it's enjoyable for you or not. Personally, it is probably my top favorite ep, maybe with seasons a lil ahead. I think there are things definitely to be improved, but hopefully with the next patch things will be better.

I turned the famous part off in game settings. I still like the content but not the famous part.

You missed "Players complain cuz the game has a gazillion bugs and always doesn't work properly and stutters everywhere on good computers.
EA tries to fix said bugs.
EA creates more bugs.
Players complain some more."

You forgot the "Bugs and things that are never fixed" part. My Sim cats are STILL getting stuck on counters...my Sims still stretch theri arms behind them when "petting" a cat or a dog....Sims STILL won't sit down to eat;half the time they either go to a bed or they stand up and eat...Sims STILL take FOREVER to eat;In Sims 1 and 2,they ate quickly...venues like the bowling alleys and skate rinks are STILL empty. Why should I have to change my bowling alleys into bars or lounges just to get large crowds? It's stupid! Please fix these problems,EA! I like having some of my bowling alleys be restaurants and cafes.

Its not worth it. it lacks so much in features. its a bag of bones for an expansion pack :#

It really just depends on the person. Every single pack as something out there for everyone and so I don’t think GF is particularly interesting for anyone who don’t want their sims to get famous or noticed. At least GF provides more opportunities for your sims to get themselves out there. Maybe that’s not enough for some people and that’s fine? If you purchased and installed it and then end up not liking it, there’s this thing called uninstalling or turning off the get famous feature in the options menu?

Wow! I love this pack! it's the one that brought me back to playing every day after 4 years of turning on the game, looking at the neighborhood and turning it off again. Too bad.
