But since you're stocking your own store... how 'bout staging some potions and career rewards? (It's not cheating if I bought it.)
Honestly, that's what I did in Sims2 OFB. I opened a store that offered all the fruits you could imagine... but then, I realized that if I staged juicers filled with the right combinations of fruits & vegetables, that they would be readily available when I came to visit as another character. So I stocked one particular juicer that would max out their aspiration plumbob and then they would walk to the electric energizer to restore their energy level.
That particular lot became the go to place when you needed a little boost.
I was pleased to discover in Get to Work, I could stage a handcrafted item as one household; save the game; play another household and go to the store to buy the handcrafted item; leave the store only to return and buy the same handcrafted item all over again. The only time that the item would be spent / exhausted would be if it were sold while under control of the owner's household.
When I returned to play the owner's household, I was simply notified about sold & restocked items.
So, if a household established a business where they staged potions, a moodlet solver for when your voodoo doll backfires for example, it would be available to all other characters who visited the store.
