Get Together / Clubs Question

So do different clubs require members to wear certain color clothing?

I ask because my hot mess female sim got invited to join the Renegades, and since I planned to have Max Villarreal be one of her many boyfriends / baby daddies, I went ahead and had her join (he has obviously aged up to YA in my game at this point and I think he looks quite good if you give him just a little CAS plastic surgery).

Anyway I had her start a gathering and suddenly her coat is black instead of the normal blue and green! Also after she woohooed with Max I had her change back into her everyday outfit (which was an aqua dress), but she ended up with a black dress on! (Which is not the everyday outfit I picked for her and not what shows up in the picture when I tell her to change clothes). The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a hidden requirement that The Renegades have to wear black during a gathering? Either that or it is a glitch, which is what I'm trying to figure out.

Also as a funny side note, she's only gathered with The Renegades once, but she already has managed to have a red relationship bar with Wolfgang Munch, not sure how or why but they obviously didn't hit it off (I wanna say she may have caught him sabotaging an appliance at her house but I'm not 100% certain). Go figure that in my game Wolfgang is an even bigger jerk than Max! Lol

  • You can set a club uniform, and some of the premade clubs have them. Sims wear them only during club meetings. If you play as the club leader, you can change the uniform.
  • Setting a club "uniform" is one of the options for clubs, yes. The Paragons always wear pink. The Garden Gnomes always wear green.

One option is to just select a colour (say red) or style (preppy/rocker) and sims will wear an item from that category (top/bottom/fullbody).

Other options allow you to design full outfits to randomise into on mannequins. This is cool for say, biker gangs or cosplay groups.

You can also choose no uniform, and sims will wear venue/weather specific outfits.

If you make a club, if you go to outfit settings, you have four options: None, custom, color, or style.
If you choose a color, if the sim isn't wearing that color, they will wear that same outfit in the club color. If they can't, they'll pick another outfit.
  • Are her outfits still wrong even after you end the club meeting? I've never used the club outfit setting before, but I didn't think it would change a sims everyday outfit. Isn't it supposed to be separate from their regular clothing?

No, when the gathering ends, sims change back to their normal outfit and you cannot access the club outfits until the next gathering.

I love setting outfits for clubs but beware if you have Seasons as the hot/cold weather outfits precede any outfits you create.

So set club hot/cold weather outfits too. You can set all clothing catagories for your clubs. E.G. If you have a sporty club you might want to set club tracksuits in Athletic, club swimsuit in Swimwear and Everyday/Party/Weather outfits for any meet ups they have where they aren't being active (day out, pub or club night).

Yeah, with Seasons comes the options to edit all your clubs' outfits with new outerwear choices as well. It's more work, but the effort you made to edit them all is worth it. :)

For some reason I never realized this. I played all those clubs and never noticed the colors. That's a fun touch.
  • Thanks everyone. Glad my game is not glitching!

Well, add that The Renegades must wear black at their gatherings!

As for the hot / cold wear, it is Winter in my game, so I can't speak to the Hot wear aspect, but for the Cold wear, even the coat she was wearing became the same style coat but in black (instead of blue and green).
