Getting back a baby

Is there anyway to get a baby back I accidentally "removed" from a family with shift-click?

    Since babies are objects there is no way to do so.

    Did not know they were seen as objects
  • There are babies available under hidden objects in build/buy mode. Open your cheat window and type in testingcheats true. Click enter, then type in bb.showhidden objects and scroll through Show All Don't grab the half-baby though, that might be creepy. But there is a baby available, I've seen it.

    Good luck! And Happy New Year!
  • Of course it's possible. Do what @permanentrose said. Nothing is permanent until it's saved, so going back to an earlier save is just like it never happened.

    Go to the Main Menu, without saving. Load Game, choose the save, then click the Restore Save button at the bottom of the panel. It looks like a 3.5" floppy with a circular arrow. Choose one of the older saves and restore it. Load your newly restored save and see if you went back far enough.

    You know, I have never attempted a Restore Save. Can it fix a corrupted save, by chance?

    @GalacticGal It's always worth a shot!
  • rip baby
    mommy has thrown you into the river
    turns out river also had monster that eats babies
  • Being able to "delete" a baby like this just made it really easy for me to do this alien genetics test I was doing in a save. I needed to have a lot of babies to see results, so when I ran out of space in a house, I just "deleted" the babies I didn't need lol
