Put me down for team "every world should be residential with the option to vacation there." I'll never give up hope that they will eventually open up Granite Falls and Selvadorada, even if that's not very realistic.
The world is absolutely beautiful as always, and I'm particularly intrigued by the lovely bioluminescent swimming hole (cavern?), but I just hope it doesn't end up feeling empty. As always, I'm hoping for new harvestables, or at a bare minimum, a respectable number of the ones we already have scattered throughout the world... but I suspect I will be disappointed once again.
I've said for years that I wish we could manage which sims show up in other worlds via the trait system. For example, you could have a Homebody trait, which would make sims appear mostly in their own home world, versus something like Well-Travelled or Globetrotter (I originally proposed Adventurer, but that was before we got the Adventurous trait in Snowy Escape, which is obviously a bit different). The latter would make it more likely that sims would show up in other worlds. That would give me the option to say, you know, Nancy Landgraab is annoying, but she's a wealthy socialite, of course she's off gadding around the world all the time. But Eliza Pancakes? Sorry, you're out of luck. Or perhaps the trait could be tied to the lifestyles system, so that the game reacts to how often you choose to take certain sims out and about, or leave them at home.

I just want a destination like we only have three and all of them to me are not really vacation/destination worlds, One is Star Wars I can see if your a really big fan then yeah. OR has barely anything in it. JA is just that an adventure an excavating adventure. I would like a destination/vacation world like Sims 2 Bon Voyage that game literally felt like my sims were on a vacation they checked in, got assigned a room, went sight seeing, ate at a local restaurant, when on rabbit hole tours, I took a ton pictures. Went shopping for souvenirs and jewelry. The Sims came back home refreshed and happy and the next time I went on vacation to the same place I did other things or discovered other things checked in at another hotel so it didn't feel repetitive and boring.

I like the new world, seems interesting to explore. Hoping for some good walks or sights outside the lots, but guess that's too early to share.
Looks like there are 3 hoods with 4+4+3 lots, and yes - several lots are residential, meaning we can recategorize as we like. Like we normally can.
One thing that I often do when a new world is released is to plan how it can mix with my existing worlds and features. It's not only about visiting the new world, but also to bring the new features to some of my existing worlds. I'm glad to see the pool extras, and new activities for kids. A bit disappointed if Archery is limited to kids, but we don't know yet. I will probably create camps / custom venues in other worlds, like a romantic retreat in Oasis Springs or a Fitness venue including spa in Selvadorada (I hope the new lot category will work there as it won't require sims owning the lot).
And the other way, what old features can work well in Gibbi Point? A glity club resort with a separate unit for celebrities with a minimum of fame? A crystal making business in the hood Crystal Valley, which is said to have an old mining history, and where I hope we'll find spawning crystals in the wild? A porch boarding school focusing on eco/wildlife? Hm... need to think more :)

from simmatically's post on twitter, you kind of can but not in traditional sense. it will be a getaway lot you stay at. you may customize activities. if you make a resort, could be like* a hotel.
There is a vacation rental in the world. I think that's what he meant.
If you have the outhouse or outdoor showers from the recent Nature's Calling Event those will go well in this world.

Now that I know that Teen to Adults can actually use the new Archery in the Pack.🤩😍 I'm thinking of moving my Robin Hood & Maid Marian SherwoodForest household from Windenberg to Gibbi Point for my Medieval play. Also planning to remake my Pocahontas Cree to live in Gibbi Point & download one of my cabin builds to upgrade for my Victorian play. As for my Ancient Times to Dark Ages play, I'll have to see what the world looks like after I delete all the lots.
I just found out that there's going to be an under the ground Hot Tub, I haven't seen this since Sims 3.😍🤩 Also, there's a 40X40 lot.😚 As for the Bed & Breakfast Custom Lots, I'm a little weary about the program that it won't break the pack.😥
World Map from the new gameplay trailer 😁
