I don't know if there are any species of firefly that are blue outside of that one elsewhere in the world, maybe.

@SilentKitty, We've had fairies in the game since the base game came out for ones you can just "see in the environment", so if you consider those as a sign of a future fairy pack, then they have been hinting at it since the very beginning.

They flit about in Sylvan Glade all the time, and if your sim is close to them you can faintly hear their high trilling voices.

If they are trees in a public space that produce harvestables, they would twinkle when ready to harvest. It looks just like the way they twinkle at home when they’re ready to be evolved. The community gardens are an exception because we can plant there just like we can at home.
