I very much appreciate all of the responses. Let me tell you what I ended up doing. I kept the save that had the unfortunate event, just in case. Then I rolled back and picked up the game from the day before the fire. I call it a fire, but in reality, it was only Mercedes who was on fire. 😮 For those who have read my updates, she was the Flower Pal at Kayleigh and Erik's wedding just a short time ago. The game still refers to them as newlyweds. Mercedes is one of Kayleigh's two baby sisters. Like I said, I was horrified watching the child burn up. At the end, she fell to her knees and then keeled over. Suffer me to say, it was a bad day.
This time around the very large, combined family were better able to enjoy their Thanksgiving meal, and the infant twin boys without all the drama.
It would have been awful for you to see this happen to Mercedes in your game! 🙁I am glad that after the rollback, the Thanksgiving meal went better the next time.
Me, too. That thing that bothered me the most was the inability for two Sims firing the flame retardant from both front and back of the child, failed to quelch those flames that positively licked at her arms. The child, also batted at them trying to put them out herself.
