I understand exactly how you feel. I have finally reached my own breaking point with this game. I have been playing the Sims for so long I feel like it is part of my identity but I had to walk away. When I calculated how much money I have spent on this game I am actually embarrassed. I purchased Sims 4 because it was the sims. I am a simmer. A simmer plays the sims. I played the base game and was disappointed but the game was new and just needed some time and a couple packs to flesh it out a little. Well, now several years later I have all the packs up to Cats and Dogs and the game still feels shallow, empty and unfinished. I love the Sims and I will always love the Sims but I have moved on. There are some really great games out there that are challenging, full of content and just fun to play. It is possible to purchase a game and play the entire game. I will always love the Sims and I will continue to follow the forums but I am also stepping away from the game for now.
