Gourmet Cooking

Its from the gourmet fruitcake.. That's been an issue for a while, just use the gourmet fruitcake in the bakin skill

Try hovering over the moodlet and you would see the reason for it. It probably is the gourmet fruit cake like what ChloeDeCookie said. If it's not but they are still getting that moodlet, try removing all mods if you have any or resetting your TS4 file.

1. Move the whole TS4 folder out to Documents or desktop.
2. Delete the TS4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder if it's still there. Get into the game and play for a bit and then exit.
3. You will see a new TS4 folder in your Documents > Electronic Arts folder.
4. Copy all the Saves, Tray, etc files back to the new respective folders in the new TS4 folder and start the game again.

Hey there, I'm having the same problem but I can't find a solution. My child Sim ate a fruitcake slice from the neighbors (welcome wagon), and now he's disgusted by every food he eats, no matter the quality. I see that the fix is to cook a gourmet version of the fruit cake to make my Sim normal again.
But now a bigger problem arrived; I can't gourmet cook. The option doesn't show up. The father is level 6 in Gourmet cooking and nowhere on the stove or fridge does he have the option to gourmet cook the recipes that he learned in books. And I've tried going to another lot and coming back, still not there.

I took out all mods, I have repaired my game and I have tried to reset my folders with the following; I moved my sims 4 folder ( from Documents -Electronic Arts -) to the desktop. Then started the game. Once new stuff was generated, I exited the game and then added back the "saves" and "tray".

So now I can't cook gourmet recipes and I can't fix the fruitcake problem.
I have found other posts of the likes but they are not resolved.
Nothing works. Help me, please. This is frustrating.

Has your sim reached level 5 in the normal cooking skill? Sims need to reach level 5 in the normal cooking skill before they can cook any gournet cooking skill meals.

@Zevanox , is your child in the picky eater phase? They hate everything.
