Gr. Bushy Tailed Thief!

Astrid finally had a hatchable egg in her chicken coop. In the middle of a horrendous thunder storm, she braves the rain and lightning to gather her wandering chickens. Before she is able to do this, she gets a pop-up stating a 'bushy tailed thief' has struck. Sure enough, the egg that was there due to hatch in just over an hour or so, is gone! Can't even see the wandering chickens. Astrid is still standing in the pouring rain. I'm vexed. Drat those evil foxes. Seems they can come inside even after you've shooed them away, yet you can't make friends with them. Oi! I must be doing something wrong, here.

  • I love seeing the foxes. I think if you gave the fox gifts they get more friendly and then you can ask them not to bug your chickens. I have given a fox a gift or two, just to see what happens, which isn't much till the relationship bar gets higher, I guess. I was able to ask that fox to drop the egg he had stolen, and he did, but after standing around next to it for a minute he ate it. I guess that is because it took my sim an age to get over to where he was standing. I'm not so bothered by it, at least not right now; I haven't dressed any of my animals yet or made any real effort to be friends with them. To be honest, right now I'm kinda on the fox's side. B)

There are a lot of different foxes, so while one fox might be nicer, the rest will still bother you.
  • Sure can! They will help keep other foxes away. However, Grimy comes to your bushy-tailed friends over time as well.

When I get that pop up I just pause my game, queue up the action to make fox drop what it stole, and it will drop the item, then I manually pick up the item and put it in my Sims inventory long before my Sim can even get there. No one steals from my farm!

If I could find said fox, that would work. He was totally gone. Must have sprouted wings and flew away or something. LOL Thanks for all of the Tips, Everybody! I shall keep them in mind. When I get back to that lot. I'm playing rotation style and they are stop number two of six. :)
