Graduated with Distinguished Degree and Honors... No career jump

As the title says, I graduated with a Distinguished Degree and Honors in Physics. I took a job as a Engineer, and I instead of of getting a boost I started at the very bottom and had no signing bonus....

Thank you! I just assumed it would auto-promote me to the right branch when I selected Engineer. I never would've noticed they split it off as a separate one!
