I hope everyone will read the comments by former vice president over FB who said that site was built to give people their daily dose of addictive dopamine and finally realise what is really happening to our youth and others who use FB. But that is a different topic and belongs in off topic section. Looking it up can shed a lot of light on the addicitive use of FB and why it is so and it was all on purpose.
We aren't talking about the demographics of the forums. We are talking about the demographics of who was buying The Sims in 2000 and who is buying it now. And why some of us feel it's been downgraded to ten year old level in more ways than one, when they should know it's still not young kids playing this game.
It happened with a site called Gaiaonline too. A slideshow from that. Thankfully the founder of that site bought the rights back to his company and is CEO now, but that experience did make me decide to prevent it happening to the Sims community by joining forums. Customers were constantly blamed that it pushed a lot of them away and the site is still feeling the effects of that lost in community. Yes there was uproar being called lab rats and being addicted to dopamine. It was just bad and even a developer friend of mine quit that site and never returned when the CEO during that time had taken over.

Teenagers have always been the main target market for the Sims games even since the first one. Why it is rated T for teen, even though when it comes to the Sims 4 I think it should be rated E10. I mean people think my moral code is strict but the Sims 4 takes it to a whole new level of censorship. Even Disney shows are more open than the Sims right now.
I think the Sims 4 is more in a crunch now for time. Some who were working on the PC are working on the console version now. I think it was mentioned there were like 30 people or so on the Maxis team which is a lot less than what I guessed it to be. Each Sims game has about a five year life, so whatever else is left for the Sims 4 is going to have to be made in about 1.5 years now. So whatever ideas Simmers have left for this iteration, put all the political mumbo jumbo differences aside and use it for the remaining time you have left because time slips away faster than you realize it and when it does make sure you don't have any regrets of being too late getting your ideas in.
