So I’ve been playing the sims 4 console for 2 days now. The first day i got so upset with the controls that i quit the game and went to sleep. (honestly i was very tired that day and did not have the patience) but TODAY was a new day. I was able to get a hang of the controls and i played it until 3am. It was a great time. Some bugs i have noticed though.1.Curser moves a little to fast sometimes. Maybe add a sensitivity scale like other console games?2. Sim children react to the monster under the bed every single night.... 3. Toddlers constantly have night mares.4. Switching from Ui to curser mode is glitchy at times with curser disappearing.5. Some people have had issues with saving their game.6. Ui and pop ups have tiny font that is hard to see at times especially since us users are not as close to the tv as we are our PCs. 7. When toddlers are sent off to day care you can still hear them giggling on the lot....8. Lot traits appear continueously 3 times when you come on the lot or leave the lot and come back. 9. Some icons get stuck when switching back and forth from Ui to curser.And that’s all I’ve seen so far. Thank you Sims team for giving us an exact port of the Pc game. I feel like I’m actually getting the full experience. And can not wait for dlc. My pic broke down the beginning of this year and i haven’t got to play sims 4 since. So glad that I’m able to play from the comfort of my couch. :smile:

Yes the biggest obstacle at the start is the controls. The tutorial bubbles make it even worse. They seem to get in the way and confuse you even more when they stop you doing what you want.Once you get used to the controls and those annoying tutorial bubbles have stopped the game is enjoyable. Biggest problem now is the extremely annoying and gamebreaking save bug.

Glad i already knew what to do with the game beforehand.

I haven't played a real Sims game for about 15 years back when I was a PC gamer so a tutorial would have been useful to me. But the tutorial in Sims 4 is useless. A tutorial bubble explaining a need that is blocking the view of the needs panel is just annoying.They should have just added a tutorial mini campaign that teaches all the basics rather than have annoying bubbles showing at inappropiate times.

Thank you for adding this thread. I'm playing on the Xbox One and some bugs i've noticed are below. But I have to say as a loyal Sims 1-4 PC fan i'm really enjoying it on the console.1. In CAS if I want to try a different colour item of clothing I seem to have to remove that item and then re-select in order to get the colour options.2. In CAS when removing an item of clothing to fix point 1 it randomly scrolls up 3. In Live mode sometimes the needs panel disappears but the hover overs still show, also the hover overs cover the needs - is there a way to remove these?4. I've also experienced the cursor disappearing5. My sim was at the gym when she needed to go to work, the sim went to the home lot and the time said it was 3 hours before she was due for work and the skills and friendships gained from the gym had been lost6. Not sure if this is a bug or a lack of understanding but my sim has gathered items in her inventory but there's no way to sell them (like on the PC) only place them in the world

Have you tried placing them in the world, going to edit mode then selling them using the hammer tool?Took me ages to realise I had to use thre hammer tool to sell a fridge.

originally I was not going to get the console version, but I broke down and did. I got the whole pack with the EP bundle and it looks good even if you can't get other players creations. I am cool with that and will create my own. Now this console version for me is the best console version yet. Sometimes I just do not want to power up my computers and just want to play on the console. :) The only problem I have is the controller it is not as precise as mouse is and I may not get used to it even with time however other than that it still is an good port.

I agree, it’s very relaxing lounging on the couch while I’m enjoying sims. Instead of sitting in a chair. :smile:

For me i gotten used to some bugs like my sims sitting in the sofa then randomly going under the floor and swim and then glitch back on the sofa is weird but most infuriating has to be wen the cursor and toolbar for some reason merge making it impossible to play.

The controls are definitely the least of my worries now. It’s pretty much second nature. Can not wait until more expansions and updates happen. So happy with my sims 4 console experience! I even caught a cow plant berry which for some reason i never got that lucky on the pc version. :smiley:

Honestly if you are already able to play sims , don’t do the switch yet. Especially if you have a lot of dlc. I think the console version is great for people that do not have high end graphics on pc and dealt with graphics crashes constantly (me) it gives us the way to have a great sims 4 experience without having to worry about low graphics settings. Now is the console version perfect? Of course not. But neither is the pc version. I haven’t had a issue with saving, i manually save every time. I don’t depend on auto save but i have checked auto save it’s its been saving but i don’t rely on it. I’m playing my game on the Xbox one, it has a few glitches here and there but nothing unbearable. I’ve spent at least 38 hours playing since i got my preorder. And nothing drastic has happened to me. I’m enjoying it so much and cannot wait until new content switches over. Now if your laptop can’t handle the game anymore and instead of purchasing a new laptop then YES switch over. The controls are definitely a learning curve. But now i feel like it’s second nature and i can play the game comfortably and build. It does take patience at first because i was so used to the pc feel. But I’m so glad i didn’t give up on the controls cause now it’s so easy. :smile:

I actually intended to until i actually played the console version. In terms of visuals i actually prefer my pc. If anything its just showcased that the game doesnt look that bad on my pc which i always thought was rubbish but actually isnt that bad. Im going to still jump in and play every so often on console but in terms of what version i will be playing more it will be pc. I also dont think i will be buying any dlc on console as like you have said yourself i already iown it all on pc.

PS4 version is awesome. I play it for hours.

Oh ok whatever. Even SimGuruNick said their working on fixes for the crashes on the console version but whatever you think what you want. You're game will crash on you. It just hasn't yet.

Let me ask you something. Are all the other people complaining about crashes trolls as well? You know you're wrong. I'm one of the kindest people on this forum. Also I'm honest. I don't make up stories just to get attention. My game crashed when I was panning the camera on the PS4 Version. Why would I lie about that? I'm not the kind that seeks attention.

Ask Simsfan99111 how many crashes he's had on the ps4.
