Green Gardening...how to do it?

My current Sim does not live in the Eco World. But she keeps having some dude in a hard hat showing up at her door and scolding her for not doing green gardening. Then he informs her her bills will go up if she doesn’t do this. How do I green garden.? I’ve seen some trash cans with the option to compost, but it seems to be with random Sims and I play rotationally so I don’t remember how.

    This is a NAP-related behavior. If you don't like it, you can enact a different NAP.

    One suggestion in the thread is to buy vertical gardens and upgrade them.

    Just make sure you have a planter and a bee box or a bug box on your property. You don't even need to have plants in the planter or bugs in the box.
