Grocery items in retail venues

There is two fridge for retail store. The first one is the "Lize/Lice Cold Freezer" (forget the exact spelling but it is like that). You can put fruits, veggies, flowers, and fish on that fridge (I remember that the fridge was broken years ago where you cannot put fish anymore. Anyways once you put them on that freezer they share inventory for all the lice cold freezer. So put them in different location at the store so sims will browse them at different spot.All items put on that fridge is already set for sale and you don't have to ring them up!.

Now if you wanted to have an NPC run a grocery store for you, all you have to do is to first put one fruit, veggies of each on the fridge. For example one apple. Then sell the store. When you visit the store and clicked on the fridge, you can buy unlimited amount of apples there. That way you have a working grocery system. If you own the store you have to restock the fruits but if you don't, you can buy as many as you want. There is an animation for it too.

For Food Items you will need another fridge I think it is a Cat rack Cooler fridge, a similar design with the Lice cold freezer but also came with get to work. It works the same with Lice Freezer except this time it is for Cooked and baked ready to eat foods. Of course you can also sell the store and buy unlimited amount of cakes there once your sim visit the shop. It's a cool feature.

One last thing. If you arae looking forward to running a business in TS4 and want a traditional business this mod is a must have!!

I remember running a bakery for like two years and being annoyed that my sims have to use the tablet just for sims to order a cupcake :D:D This mod is one of the best retail mods made for the game and customizable too! So say if you want an art gallery you can choose if you want to use the tablet or for a say toy store you can choose to use the register. It is really cool!

And for a more realistic look this mod too

I have actually made a grocery store in the sims and I do have the lice cold freezers out there but none of them are stocked... what I did do was put a bunch of produce, fish, baked goods, and higher level meals on display in the display cases and on stands I hodgepodged together. It's called "Food Kitty" because I modeled it after the Food Lion store you see in the commercials. I did a LOT of playtesting in it and it works very well.

I haven't edited it for cottage living yet, but I'm sure you could do so easily.

I saw James Turner did a video where he tried to do a grocery store with the new produce and they all sold for 7 simoleons, no matter their actual cost. Not sure if it's the same issue with the regular produce, but at least the new ones are bugged.
