Group Cauldron

Stupid question, I know, but I've tried to look for it via Google and nothing comes up. How do I get multiple witches to use the same cauldron at the same time? I thought this was a feature but I can't seem to find how to initiate this.
  • As far as I know, you only get the option while brewing a potion.

I will load my game and check, I am almost certain you merely need to be in conversation mode with the sim to invite them, no group actions or only active sims neccessary, but will check for you now. Be back in a bit ;)

So it does not work with experiment, but it does with potions.

You need to have the ingredients to make a potion. You greet as many sims as you can in the room with you, then you click on the cauldron to make a potion, as your sim lit the fire and starts the potion, then click on the cauldron and the option to invite others will be there. You then select them from the list that pops up ;)

You can add 3 sims to help you ;)

  • Thank you; I appreciate the info especially knowing what the limit is.
  • That's weird...I chose experiment and I don't get that option.
  • If you have one Sim experimenting, other Sims should also have the option to 'Experiment' when you click on the cauldron. (I had all three of my Sims experimenting last night, so this definitely works.) They can also help brew a potion, as noted above - I also did this with three Sims last night. The number is probably limited by the number of Sims who can fit around the cauldron.

If your other Sim is visiting, I don't know if there is a way to get her or him to join in with the potion brewing or experimenting. You don't get an 'experiment with' or 'brew potion with' option like you do with chess or other activities. A visitor might join autonomously.
  • Hmm, I know I have done this. Maybe try adding the visitor to a group?

Can't remember how, but I had Gemma Charm help my spellcaster with a potion.

Thanks, I hadn't tried that. I never let other Sims in my home, so I'd never seen that option.
