Guests don't show up as people to play cards with

I have like, five visitors over. They have the key to my apartment. I have a gaming table with chairs and when I click on the Play Cards With... only the spouse shows up in all categories. I have these people even included in a group, and I can do other group stuff together. But they don't show in the options for the card table as people my Sim can play with. Any idea why and how to make them show up?

    I don't think the card table even works any more. Sims sit to play and then get up without playing. The llama game has taken over.

    Remove them from the group and try again. Being in a group somehow blocks you from choosing them.

    Is it a multi-level apartment?

    I find group activity sim-pickers will only show everyone on the same floor as the active sim.

    Try to "Go here together" near the card table, then play cards.

    I've also found that only 3/4 seats at the games tables usually work. The 4th normally just resets the sim.
