Fridges were linked together, last I had 2 fridges on a lot.

That wasn't rude, that was clarification. It's an interesting question. What items have inventory, regardless of whether they share their inventory with similar items?

Fridges hold prepared food, but can they hold harvestables, and if so what types? Fruit? Veg? Herbs? Fish?
Book cases hold books, but can they hold anything else?
Toy boxes hold toys. Anything else?

If I remember to do so, I might play around next time I'm playing, and find out what can be stored where.

So far, fridges have held all dishes and all food harvestables except coconuts.... and I wonder if the coconut thing I’d just a bug?.... also I am not sure about pinapples, or the other two harvestables from island living.

I wish you could store things in the cabinets and/or things like the China cabinets. It would make them more useful. At this time I don’t think you can store upgrade parts. I also wish you could store different things in different containers, instead of them all being linked on a lot.
