Hand feed horses produce?

Does anyone know how to hand feed horses produce (apples, carrots, etc)? I know there was a thread on this before, but I can't find it, so sorry to ask again.

Mostly a hunch @Lenny_Ogg. Since the problem was food related I figured that it might be one of the two mods.
