- luciusstorm3 years agoSeasoned AceStarted playing about 2 years ago, when I was on bedrest, because it was a game I could play that didn't demand a lot of focus or energy. Discovered that I absolutely loved a game where success was based on creating art and making friends, rather than on how many enemies you killed. When I stumbled on the concept of writing SimLit, I was totally hooked.

- Ninoochat3 years agoRising ScoutMy oldest screenshot is from 24th of october 2014, so I guess I didn't buy it straight on release. I honestly can't remember. It hasn't been my favorite game of the series, that was ts3 for me. It took me a very long time (and a lot of free updates) to finally find my fun with it. There's a whole team of people pouring their hearts into the game, even if we don't vibe with it sometimes. Gotta remember that before saying stuff that could be hurtful against the game ; they are not the one in charge of every decision etc. I can appreciate what it tried to do and what it brought to the table that were a definite improvement over older versions (CAS, Build mode, the gallery, mainly). I wish it gave me the same "omg best game ever" feeling and hype I had with all the older games. But maybe it's just me? Dunno. I hope the next one will have that. I'm still on board with the sims, will check out the other competitors because eh, I love simulation games, but I'll still be here. I've been with this franchise for over 20 years after all.
- SEREFRAS3 years agoLegendI got the Unlimited Sims 4 Base on Disc back in September 2014 because my original Sims 3 was always freezing up every 5 minutes, so I was desperate to get a Sims game that was working. So even though @ the beginning of Sims 4 it was a nothing game with no basements, no personality traits, no nails, no toddlers, etc, etc…. It never freezed. And now after 9 years & still no Color Wheel for everything, no Spiral Stairs,
no Heartshape Bed, no Drums/Brass, no Egypt, Time Traveling Machine/Portal & no Cars/Jeeps/Motorcycles/Taxis/Trucks/Vans, no Hayrides, no Bobbing for Apples,
no Hot Chocolate, no Hotels,
no Fairies & Genies, no Newspapers &
no actual Unicorns, at least it still doesn’t freeze up. Furthermore, Sims 4 never just stopped growing, so hopefully it will still get what it’s still missing in Sims 4.
Viva los Sims 4, may it continue on & eventually be completed!???? - SweetieWright_843 years agoSeasoned AceI got the game on release, played for a bit. Then I went back to TS3 until I think Get to Work. Now I play TS4 almost exclusively but I do take breaks from playing here and there.

- DaWaterRat3 years agoSeasoned AceWell before EA made Sims 4 Free for everyone, they did a Memorial day "sale" where the game was either free, or really cheap. A couple of friends suggested I should try it, and the rest is history.
- logionX3 years agoLegendI played a lot of different games before I tried The Sims 4, I really liked that I could create and customize sims however I wanted and that's what I still really like about it. The Sims 4 offers so much in terms of customization compared to different games.
I still like the game and have many good memories of it, but it is not able to offer me enough new things to do so I don't play it a lot, I began playing a lot of other games instead after the High School Years pack. - 8, I held off the first 2 years because there were so many bugs talked about, and at first you couldn't even build pools or basements! I think when the second pack came around I decided to go for it as it was on sale at that point.
- PKH673 years agoNew SpectatorI can't remember! It was when toddlers were introduced, I wouldn't switch from Sims 3 until they had a toddler stage as it seemed to so weird to go from a baby in a crib to a child, when we had that life stage in Sims 3 already - so that's when I started playing it
