It reads like half a game pack because of the free update that's coming out at the same time.
@Loanet @Daephene I agree. It reads like half a game pack (which half a game pack is 10$ btw so the price of a stuff pack, you know as it should be) but I think it's only because of all the stuff that comes with the free update.
They did the same thing with Snowy Escape, the update came with tons of stuff and people thought "oh this new pack is so full of content" meanwhile me who didn't buy the pack realized mid-way "hey all the new stuff, platforms, sentiments, rentals etc." are in the update so what's the point of buying the pack.
And this is why I never bought it.
Wait - what’s “all the stuff that comes with the update”? So far I only know about the fear emotion.
@Pamtastic72 Also the brave trait, which is just a reward trait but still. I'm guessing there might be another surprise that will be revealed in the livestream but no guarantee.
Oh - okay, I knew about those. I thought I had missed something. :D And I agree @CelSims the fear emotion is a big deal, I am really looking forward to it!

Some of the ghosts look cute, some of them look creepy. And I bet we'll get people saying how terrible it is that their HAUNTED house has nasty ghosts that constantly drop ectoplasm out of mischief and it always needs cleaning up and how UNREALISTIC their PARANORMAL pack is.
I completely agree and this is my biggest fear with this pack. The “realism” players who don’t want any spontaneous occurrences in a life simulation game. I have been on this planet for awhile now, and I have never once had my life go entirely uninterrupted by some random thing that I did not expect to occur. Some of it is taken in stride, and some of it has entirely altered my course, and all of it was very very real, and that’s what’s missing in this game, and what’s really frustrating is the toggle crowd. Those who say toggles are the key to not having features nerfed. Seasons proved that wrong.
They gave us a toggle to keep temperature effects from affecting our sims, but “realism” players left it on and then complained about sims dying from weather to the point of it pretty much just not happening no matter what you set the toggle to. It’s frustrating. We get sometimes multiple trailers, we get multiple blog posts, and we get live streams all clearly outlining these features and generally it’s these random happenstance things that make me most excited for a pack. I pay for them specifically and then, the following month we get a patch and “abracadabra” they’re gone!
