I'm asking because I'm having a devil of a time getting to that point. I removed mods I thought were suspect, when that didn't work, I exchanged the existing save for the back-up I made prior to the patch. So far, that put me right back to the beginning of HSY. No problem, but he has ten Sim days to go before he ages up to YA. Every time he ages up, no matter how well he's doing in school, and the second time I had him check his status online, which stated he had straight A's, the night before he was due to age up. Yet, when he aged up, he was listed as a Drop Out. Which by the way is a choice your Sim has online, I discovered. Graduate early, or Drop-Out. Face/palm. Why is the game default set to Drop Out upon aging up? That's all I can figure out, that it is a default position. The last test I'll give this EP is doing a game repair. If that doesn't work, I'll have to simply pull the Mods folder after going back to just a day before he's due to age up and see if that makes the difference.Can somebody(ies) please weigh in and let me know if your Sim(s) has graduated properly?Please, and thank you, in advance.

My kid and her boyfriend in my unplayed house both graduated. At first nothing happened then I got a pop up that said graduation was coming the event appeared on Sunday in the calender. When that Sunday came I had to travel to the auditorium and the graduation took place. Since it is an event maybe you need to take any events you have planned that day normally just for the ceremony to play out.

For me it was about a day she aged up on Friday I checked out another house for a little bit and went right back but I dont recall it happening too early Saturday. I feel there may be some random quality to it to keep multiple households in mind but cant be sure about that.I agree with @telemwill I think the holiday may be an issue seeing that the highschool takes up the end of the week I never put a holiday there like I normally would. I do have a mod to do homework faster and some cc that is fairly old as far as I know. Which matters because if they dont need updates they probably cant mess with your game. So I don't think the mods are an issue.Unless you've checked already and know yourself I hope this helps.

My sim graduated on a Sunday after becoming a young adult but he didn't walk the stage. I don't know if it was because he was too busy being jealous about his pregnant girlfriend not showing him attention. I didn't like how there were kids at the graduation but they weren't related to anyone graduating. It also seems like the game will age up other teens to graduate with your graduating sims. The teens the game decided to age up at graduation were teens I marked as not played. Kevin was one of those teens but Sidney and Savannah remain teenagers and they live with Kevin. Prom and graduation didn't happen for me until I started a new save.I saved the household and their home and plopped them into a new save and then it all started working.

Prom and graduation should have been an event that the player triggers when it makes sense. Too many issues with this pack and patch - I’m abandoning it for a save that doesn’t need any of it until they get around to actually fixing this mess - just once I wish that they would release a patch/pack that doesn’t cause major issues

Me, too. I've almost lost all zeal to play. I was really into it, too. The first year after Sims4 release, I only played sporadically. Then I discovered some mods, plus the packs starting coming along and up to now, I was one happy camper. I was also excited for HSY. Now, not so much. I think they crammed way too much into it and it's hopelessly broken. I simply don't need half of the stuff included and in fact would prefer not to have some of the stuff at all. But, EA is trying to keep in touch with what's going on today, and in the end it's Game-Breaking. Oh, well. We can't remove a Patch so it's moot to try to uninstall the EP. So, here I sit. I still do have my book to edit, and my family tree is calling to me. Life goes on. If things don't improve and quickly, I'll be giving Paralives more of a looksee than I have already.

Update: @manicobsessive My young wannabe star is now a Rising Star (that's two stars, for those who don't use Get Famous). He's written four songs so far and one has just been nominated for Best Song, upon his licensing it. Yay, he's on his way! As for the saving problem, so far, I'm not experiencing it in this brand new save, either. Phew! This had me worried.

Also, do you have any mods/cc? I don't wish to have to remove them altogether, as it totally affects my 'Star'. I suppose since this is only a throw away save to show a flashback for my now YA Star, still married to his high school sweetheart, father of six kids, I could remove the mods folder, if need be. I'm just vexed by the whole thing.
