The reason I'm asking is that something is going on in my game. I am not playing the tutorial, but a game save that I have had for a few months now. In this game save I started a new sim, and moved her into a home in Willow Creek, in the same neighborhood as the BFF household. Travis Scott, Liberty, and Summer Holiday all came over to welcome my sim to the neighborhood, Summer brought the fruitcake. The visit went as usual and good. Then when the time was up all three sims left, but Summer showed back up, and stayed. She cooked herself a meal, played on the computer, watched TV, and several other things. My sim got tired and went to bed, and before I forget my sim is living in a 2 bedroom home, with 2 full beds. Anyways my sim went to bed, and shortly after that Summer changed into her sleepwear and went to sleep in the other bed. Have roommates been added to the game, or is something else going on? I don't have Get Famous yet.

I think it's a bug, my sims recently threw a party and none of the guests would leave. They kept trying to sleep in her bed, it was very annoying. I had my sim leave the house and went back, it seemed to fix it.

Things went really sideways when I was testing it out. At the end of the first day, Alex left, and I wasn't even done. The next day after my sim woke up, Alex was still gone, and there was a part that needed Alex to move further with the tutorial. I ended up just ending it, and deleting the game save.@Plainevil There was no option to leave, but I did do what @MuggyQuasar suggested. At the moment my sim is at the park practicing her singing and guitar skills. She wants to be a famous singer (when I eventually get this new pack), maybe next week. Summer didn't come, so I'm hoping that when I send my sim back home, Summer won't be there, but I have to wait till later to find out.

It triggers the normal game behaviour for sims that decide to leave. They will say goodbye to you and leave the lot, pretty much immediately. I really hope they add roommates to the game officially. They added a “roommate” to the tutorial which was cool. I wish they could add that code to the real game.

Has roommates been added to the game?

If you’re okay using mods then LittleMsSam has a “force to leave” mod that might help make them go.

@MuggyQuasar I'm fine with using mods, but I'm waiting to use their mods until they get them all updated after this latest patch. Thank you for mentioning this. :)

MC Command has that as a feature if you use that mod (it has been updated already).

Do you have the option to ask to leave? as i had a similar experience with Vlad. I left the lot twice and came back to still find him there, he was enjoying my stereo, computer and violin to much.

I could see the ask to leave though. He was doing so well with violin though, i could not tell him to leave. He eventually left after about 24 hours.

You can now give residence key (might be with Get Famous), so I suspect, the same bug that caused uninvited guests in Apartments will now make it's way to houses.

It is very simple, Click the Sim you want to leave, Select "MC Command Center" -> "MC Cheats" -> "Make Sim Leave". It triggers the normal game behaviour for sims that decide to leave. But in cas when you create several sims and you go into the relashionship menu you can make them roommates. Though it doesn’t really work like real roommates.

Also random sims sometimes just go in your house and make themselves at home because they have no boundaries. But then If you sleep in a bed at another sim’s house they will tell you it’s inapropriate (even If said sim is your sim’s best friend). Go figure!
