I think they used the tS3 firefighter model rather than the TS2 one. Yesterday I made another attempt with 3, my sim's stove caught fire, the alarm went off, and it took a very long time for the fire truck to arrive. It stopped a fair way down the street, so the firefighter had a longer distance to run, and was not particularly energetic in putting the fire out. In contrast, in TS2 the truck arrives promptly, stops right in front of the house, and the firefighter(s) go at it like Marines storming the beach. Fire out in jig time. I already get way more fires in 4 than what one would expect. This new change in frequency and response does not bode well for sim life expectancy. Or our enjoyment of the game.
